It catches exact copies that are byte-for-byte identical, and it also catches visually similar such as the same picture resized, recompressed, or lightly edited, where the files differ, but the image clearly looks the same. Matches are lined up side by side in clean groups with a similarity score on each one, along with the file name, resolution, size, and date, so you can see at a glance which copy is worth keeping. Choose what to detect, pure duplicates only, or include similar pictures, like change of poses etc. Duplicate Detector suggests the best copy to keep, the one with highest quality, then sends the rest straight to the trash
